Description
KTA is an independent unit initiated and financed by Stockholm County Council and Karolinska University Hospital in cooperation with Karolinska Institutet. KTA works to coordinate and stimulate research in Stockholm County Council. The aim is to develop a strong cooperation between medical care, academy and industry for a faster development of drugs and medical innovations to benefits patients.
KTA works as a knowledge- and resource centre for advice, coordination and implementation of clinical trials on behalf of medical companies and academy. Researchers can get individual advice and support related to the design and the process of carrying through clinical projects from KTA.
Infrastructure/methods
KTA consist of three subunits;
- the Phase 0-II unit
- the Support unit
- the unit for clinical trials in the primary care setting, KTA PRIM.
The work in all units is quality assured and conducted according to the Helsinki Declaration and ICH-GCP.
