MACAL – Material Analysis Centre at Arrhenius Laboratory

The Material Analysis Centre at Arrhenius Laboratory (MACAL) provides modern facilities and expertise on characterizations of materials by powder and single crystal X-ray diffraction, spectroscopy (IR,NMR), thermal analysis, confocal and AFM microscopy, gas adsorption, physical properties measurements and synthesis by spark plasma sintering. Type: Core facility
The facility provides advanced analysis of proteins, peptides and metabolites using state-of-the-art molecular separation and mass spectrometry (MS) analysis technologies. The facility also functions as an educational and a resource center focusing on quantitative clinical proteomics. The MS-platform facility provides fee-for-service sample analysis as well as support to plan and perform larger in depth proteomics projects. Read more

Image Mutation Analysis Facility (MAF)

Type: Core facility
The purpose and mission of the Mutation Analysis core Facility (MAF) is to help scientists at Karolinska Institutet, its associated hospitals, and other academic institutions to perform genetic, epigenetic and genetic-epidemiological research in order to identify and assess genetic factors involved in different disease processes. SNP genotyping, targeted epigenetic analyses, as well as high throughput sequencing are performed for a wide variety of applications. Read more
