KBC Proteomics is operating as a resource and competence centre for proteomic analyses in clinical including gel based proteomics, mass spectrometry based proteomics and tissue micro array. We work both on several big proteomics projects as well as in development of new methods for clinical “omics” research.

At the Department of Neurochemistry we have developed a solid-phase methodology to synthesise peptides, with the purpose to study different processes in disease. Furthermore, we study cell-penetrating peptides that function as cellular transporters through biological membranes, with the purpose to develop a system for delivering drugs across the blood barrier.
